The Leisure Workshops

The objective of this workshop is to learn the dances practiced in the festoù-noz. The first hour of class is thus devoted to these dances. It is aimed at an audience eager to know the history, the land and the music of the most popular dances in Brittany.
The following points are taught:
learn the different basic steps common to all the dances,
learn to perform the movements to the rhythm of the music,
learn to synchronize to the highlights of the music,
learn to separate the movements of the feet and arms.
with time and practice, gain in speed of execution of movements and ease.
Experienced dancers also participate in this hour of class which has the advantage of helping the "new" in their learning and makes them an excellent review session. Throughout the year, the basic dances are practiced at the beginning of the course to assimilate them well and serve as a warm-up before tackling the new faster or more technical dances.

The objective of this workshop is to discover more elaborate dances and to become aware of the different styles of each region.
Several types of dances are discussed:
Techniques: Kost ar C'hoat, Avant-deux from Bazouges, Avant-deux from Châteaubriant, In Fisel,
Fast: Keff Suite, Laridé-Gavotte,
The suites - a lot of movements and sequences of different figures: Suite de l'Aven, Dérobée de Guingamp, Suite Treger, Quadrille de Locquénolé,
Rare - The dances that we never see in the fest-noz in Ille-et-Vilaine: Rond de molène, Pastourelle from Châteaubriant, Counter-round from Saint-Laurent sur Oust.
Beginners can participate in these sessions without any problem, a schedule of dances taught allows you to start the season with rare but simple dances to end with fast and / or technical dances.
Musique
Depuis 2018, un groupe de musique loisirs s'est formé au sein du Cercle Celtique Les Perrières de Cesson-Sévigné.
Le but de ce groupe est de réunir des musiciens désirant partager leurs techniques et répertoires avec d'autres instrumentistes et surtout de jouer ensemble. Il ne s'agit pas de cours mais véritablement de moments d'échanges dans la bonne humeur autour de la musique traditionnelle bretonne. L'objectif de ce groupe est aussi de pouvoir jouer pour le groupe de danse loisirs lors des minis festou-noz organisés par celui-ci ou pour d'éventuelles animations publiques du groupe loisirs ou scénique.
Le groupe se réunit actuellement une fois toute les deux semaines au local du cercle et serait ravi d'accueillir de nouveaux membres avec des instruments variés afin d'enrichir leurs répertoires.
